What we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Written in plain language.
Pending counsel review
This page is draft copy for internal review. Do not rely on it for legal compliance until counsel approves the final text.
What we collect
Account information. When you sign up we collect your email address, a display name, and a handle. Your profile can also include a bio, an avatar, and social links you choose to add.
Content you upload. Audio files, lyrics, video, artwork, project files, comments, and anything else you add to a Session. Uploads are stored with our hosting provider (Supabase Storage). When you upload audio, we also record your rights acknowledgement — the confirmation that you have the rights to use that audio.
Usage information. We record product events (for example, that an upload started or a recognition check completed) to understand how the product is used and to debug problems.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers. We keep records of purchases, subscriptions, and payouts so your library and earnings work correctly.
Audio recognition checks
When you upload audio, a short clip may be sent to AudD, a third-party music recognition service, to check whether the file matches a commercially released recording. We store the result of that check. If a match is found we ask you to confirm your rights — the upload itself is never blocked by this check. See our Copyright & DMCA page for how copyright reports are handled.
How we use your information
To run the product: hosting your Sessions, streaming audio, sending the emails you expect (invitations, activity, receipts), processing purchases and payouts, and enforcing our Community Guidelines. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
Service providers who run parts of the product on our behalf: Supabase (database and storage), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and AudD (audio recognition). Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
Public content is public: public Sessions, your profile, credits on released records, and comments on public Sessions are visible to anyone. Private Sessions are visible only to you and the people you invite.
Your choices
You control Session visibility (public or private), your email notification preferences in Settings, and your profile contents. You can delete your account from your profile settings; deletion is guarded when your work is woven into other artists' Sessions, so collaboration history stays honest.
