Version history

Official cuts are immutable — compare them, revisit them, and roll back without losing anything.

Every time the artist publishes, a new immutable official cut is created — Official v1, v2, v3. Nothing is ever overwritten.

The History tab

A Session's tabs are Song, Contributions, History, and Contributors. History holds everything about how the song evolved: version comparison, the list of official cuts, and (for the artist) preserved DAW project revisions.

Comparing versions

The compare panel plays versions against each other on one arrangement surface, so you can A/B an older official cut — or the artist's working draft against the current official — and hear exactly what changed.

Rolling back

The artist can make an earlier official cut current again. Newer versions aren't deleted — the pointer just moves, and the full history stays intact. Rolling back clears any working draft, since the draft was based on the version you moved away from. After a final release, rollback is closed; the song continues by branching.
